Walmart here I come... or not.

there is a spell check (as patti pointed out to me)but i am writing in english so it doesn{t really work... oh well.
so the interns (myself, Rachel, Emily, and Julia) all arived and we had a little get to know you/orientation here in acapulco. lauren (who is has been at casa hogar for the past yearish) confirmed my fears... we were going to be dropped off at walmart and had to make our way back to casa hogar. ANd we were supposed to do it in pairs.AND take the bus. AND find things along the way. }kind of like a treasure hunt.great, even better. secretly i was dreading this day. but it happens that lauren forgot the hint sheet and we couldn{t do the hint hunt. which meant that we were driven strait the casa hogar. praise the lord! haha. so i am here now.
the kids are a little shy to warming up to us. three out of the four interns have been to casa hogar. it was nice to here some of the kids remember my name.
there are a few new ones that i have seen so far. the youngest are 3 and 5. for those of you reading that know the kids... marisol is no longer here. she left one day and didn{t come back.
well, i have to go. i am paying for internet and i don{t want to leave this room because i am sitting right next to the fan!

I'm so glad you made it - not that there was anything to worry about but not hearing for a few days did make me wonder.... is she wandering aimlessly about Mexico still asking for directions?!
How wonderful that it is everything you remember and so very familiar. Know that you are loved as deeply as you love the kids there. As you become comfortable, give us specific needs and circumstances to pray for. It is a way of not only sharing this experience with you but a small opportunity to minister to you as well. I'm so excited and can't wait to hear more.

I'm so happy to hear that you made it and are "navigating" your way through the beginning of your journey. Keep the posts coming! We will be reading and praying!

I am sorry to hear that Marisol is no longer at the home. Thanks for letting us know. I have been wondering, who is wearing the blue soccer shoes Christina Cox bought last summer? Everything on the home front is pretty much the same, except for your one thing. Your room is all picked up!!!:)

This is absolutely hilarious -- and not just the spelling! We are going to enjoy your adventure almost as much as you are. Thanks for sharing. May the Lord richly bless you and also many others through your loving heart and hands.

In Him,
